As per Moscow Government’s Resolution No. 3-PP dated January 13, 2004 "On the Development of Generation Capacity in Moscow" and Moscow Government Decree No. 688-RP dated April 26, 2005 "On the Results of Closed Tender to Select Investor for the Gas Turbine Power Plant Project”, GTPP Tereshkovo is intended for generation and supply of electricity, heat and, also, meeting power needs of the emerging Tereshkovo community of the Western Administrative District of Moscow.
According to the General Plan of Moscow, GTPP "Tereshkovo" site is located at: Moscow, Borovskoye Shosse, Tereshkovo community.
The site area is 4.812 ha. The land parcel for GTPP "Tereshkovo" is located about 2 km past the Moscow Ring Road between Borovskoye Shosse and Kiev Railway, 500 meters from the railway station "Solnechnaya."

Installed in the main building:
-three gas turbine units LM 6000 PD Sprint, General Electric (USA);
-three steam recovery boilers, Aalborg Engineering (Denmark), vertical design, with afterburning;
-steam condensing turbine with heating steam extraction, Skoda (Czech Republic);
-heaters and pumps of the cogeneration plant;
-11.5 kV switchgear;
-main three barrel chimney, 120 m high;
-bypass chimneys, 50 m high (for each gas turbine unit).
Installation of transformers,
-Four oil-filled transformers.
Switchgears 110 kV, 10 kV and the reactor building with appropriate equipment.
Ancillary buildings and structures:
-booster station with fuel gas pressure control;
-dry ventilation cooling tower;
-air coolers for auxiliary machinery;
- water treatment plant (WTP);
-pressurized air compressor;
- WTP tankage;
- effluent treatment facilities;
- diesel station;
- administrative building;
- gas and heat energy meters;
- oil storehouse;
- technological pipelines bridge;
- gate houses (КПП1 и КПП2).
Power capacity of GTPP "Tereshkovo" is as follows:
-Available capacity at generator leads: 186.7 MW (under the reference temperature of minus 280C and heat load of 150 Gcal/h);
-thermal capacity (in hot water): 150 Gcal/h.
